Armenia attaches great importance to its partnership with Canada

Armenian President Armen Sarkisian sent a congratulatory message to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the occasion of his birthday, the press service of the Armenian head of state reported.

"Armenia attaches great importance to its partnership with Canada, which has always been marked by mutual trust and a sincere desire to deepen it.

I recall with warmth our substantial discussion at the 26th UN summit (COP 26) which provided an opportunity to exchange views on the prospects of expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international issues.

I hope that our meeting in Glasgow will give a new impetus to the relations between the two countries, and that through our joint efforts we will contribute to the expansion of the current agenda between Armenia and Canada and the implementation of promising initiatives," reads the message of the Armenian President.

Армения удачно реализует программы индивидуального партнерства с ЕС и НАТО, заявил сегодня в Ереване секретарь Совета Национальной Безопасности Армении Артур Багдасарян, выступая на открытии 73-го семинара Парламентской Ассамблеи НАТО Rose-Roth "Региональные развития на Южном Кавказе: вызовы, возможности и перспективы". По его словам, программа сотрудничества с ЕС насчитывает около 190 конкретных действий, программа сотрудничества с НАТО -122 действий по реформированию различных сфер. Оптимистические перспективы

Никакого документа между Арменией и Турцией по урегулированию двусторонних отношений не подписано, в том числе и "дорожная карта". Об этом вчера в Ереване заявил министр иностранных дел Армении Эдвард Налбандян, выступая на совместной пресс-конференции с действующим председателем ЕС, министром иностранных дел Швеции Карлом Бильдтом. По его словам, если Армения и Турция придут к согласию и подпишут документы, то речь будет идти об установлении дипломатических отношений, открытии границы и создании межправительственной комиссии, которая будет заниматься различными вопросами, в том числе и восстановления доверия между народами обеих стран.
